Arizona Biltmore “Going Green” is our opportunity to minimize our impact on the environment, and support the environmental friendly preferences of our guests.

Current Green initiatives at the Arizona Biltmore

  • Offer water saving options for sheets and towels in guestrooms. 
  • Paperless check-in & check-out for guests. 
  • Low-flow toilets and showerheads. 
  • Energy saving procedures in place for lights and a/c in meeting space and guestrooms. 
  • CFL and LED lighting used where possible. 
  • Easy access to public transportation or shuttle services. 
  • Organic vegan products used in the Spa. 
  • Clean-burning flameless candles used throughout the spa facility. 
  • Food sourced from local growers and purchase organic whenever feasible. 
  • Dispensers or reusable containers for beverages, food and condiments.  
  • Recycle program for glass, cardboard, paper, aluminum, plastic, toners and printing ink. 
  • "Green Star Award" given out each month to the department with best green practices. 
  • Implemented internal policy to turn off lighting and air conditioning when rooms are not in use. 
  • Trip Reduction Program for employees. 
  • Employee training on our new 'green' practices. 
  • Water coolers provided to reduce bottled water consumption. 
  • Collateral printed on recycled paper using soy ink. 
  • Purchase recycled paper and related products. 
  • Use electric lawn mowers and leaf blowers. 
  • Purchase gas lawn mowers and leaf blowers with the lowest emissions available. 
  • Use reclaimed water for large lawn areas. 
  • Transitioning to all organic gardening.
