Tai Chi originated as an ancient martial art in China. The movements have been slowed to help condition the body as well as many other health benefits. The gentle movements make this a low impact exercise which is beneficial for people with any joint inflammation or pain. The style taught is the Wudang Yang style of Tai Chi. Tai Chi also offers a mental aspect (intention) as well as coordinated breathing to go with the form connecting the mind and body. This is why it is often referred to as, “meditation in motion”.
