The late Maynard Dixon and wife Edith Hamlin’s incredible Native-American-inspired murals adorn the walls of the historic Gold Ballroom.

Inspired by original Frank Lloyd Wright drawings, and gifted by Mrs. Wright, this spectacular glass design holds permanent residency in our historic main lobby.

Designed in 1914 by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Midway Gardens in Chicago, the Sprites were sculpted by Italian artist Alfonso Ianelli. When the Midway Gardens were demolished, the Sprites were lost and they were unearthed in Wisconsin in 1945. How they ended up there remains a mystery.

An institution of exciting art and learning since 1959, Phoenix Art Museum presents festivals, live performances, independent art films and educational programs that enlighten, entertain and stimulate.

MIM displays more than 6,000 instruments collected from around the world. Dynamic displays are enhanced by state-of-the-art audio and video technologies that allow guests to see the instruments, hear their sounds and observe them being played in their original context.

Downtown Phoenix hosts one of the nation’s largest self-guided art walks every First Friday of the month from 6pm to 10pm. Start at the Phoenix Art Museum for complimentary trolley transportation. Newly added is the Third Friday Trolley Tour that circulates city art districts offering a more arts-focused “Gallery Night.”

ASU Gammage debuted In 1957, after university president Grady Gammage had a vision to create a world-class auditorium on the campus of Arizona State University. He called on his close friend and famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright to design it. Building tours are available by appointment.

Home to six resident companies, including Arizona Theatre Company, Arizona Opera and Childsplay Theatre, the Herberger is prized as a performance venue and arts incubator and is a delightful spot to experience theatrical entertainment.
