You might be surprised to know that Arizona’s climate is a little more varied than most expect!

Often categorized as a hot, dry desert, the state actually offers a diverse landscape with snow-capped mountains, lush forests and meadows, creeks and streams and high plains grasslands. And the weather is just as varied, with hot summers and cool winters  – making it the perfect year-round destination.

A summer visit to Arizona will be filled with sunny days and mild evenings with low humidity and rainfall. July and August are the hottest months of the year but the low humidity means that your days are still enjoyable. Cool off with a dip in our Catalina Pool, which was once the favorite of Marilyn Monroe.

During fall the hot temperatures will ease off, with cool winds sweeping in from the Gulf of Mexico. It’s a beautiful time of year in Arizona, as the colors of the season take center stage. And with earlier sunsets, you’ll have spectacular views while you dine in our many restaurants, bars and unique outdoor venues.

In winter, a milder climate is enjoyed. The sun still shines during the day with clear, crisp evenings that are just perfect for romantic strolls or active pursuits. Join us at Christmas time as the resort is transformed with spectacular décor including a live 60-foot decorated Christmas tree, a menorah, twinkle lights and starbursts glittering against the gold leaf of the ceiling.
